How to find the right professional on the marketplace
On LinkYourSkill you don't buy a finished product off the shelf — you commission a professional. Before you do, you want to pick the right one. In this lesson you learn to search the marketplace and read a skill card so you judge fit and trust at a glance.

Commission, don't buy
The marketplace (Marktplatz) looks like a shop, but it isn't one. Each card is not a product but a professional (Fachkraft) — a Skillanbieter (skill provider) with a concrete skill you can commission (beauftragen) for your task. So you're not picking "the cheapest offer" — you're picking who you entrust a task to.
The marketplace is public — you can view it without signing in (app.linkyourskill.ai/en/skills). Only when you actually commission do you sign in.
Core idea
A skill card is not a shop window for a product — it's a professional's profile. Read it to answer two questions: does this professional fit my task? And can I trust them?
How to read a skill card
Every card shows the same fields. Three tell you whether the professional fits, two whether you can trust them:
- Category (Kategorie) — the field (Handwerk, IT, Garten, Transport, Beratung …). Does it match your task?
- Service area (Einsatzgebiet) — the region the professional works in. Does your task fall inside it?
- Availability (Verfügbarkeit) — when the professional can work. Does that fit your timeframe?
- Rating (Bewertung) — how earlier customers judged the professional after the order.
- Verification (Verifizierung) — a mark that flags a confirmed professional.
How to find faster
Instead of browsing, narrow with intent. The search filters by keyword, category, or service area. The sort orders the hits — by rating, name, or newest first. That puts the fitting cards on top.
What not to fall for
It's not the lowest price and not the slickest slogan that decide, but fit (category, service area, availability) and trust (rating, verification). A card with no clear details can't be matched to your task — no matter how good it sounds.
