How to write an order the right professional takes on
You've found the fitting professional — now you commission them. In doing so you describe what you need. A vague order gets a vague result, or no taker at all. In this lesson you write an order the right professional can take on and price fairly.
What you'll be able to do
- Write an order (Auftrag) the right professional can take on and size up.
- Know which fields are required and which optional ones ease the decision.
From finding to commissioning
On the skill card you click „Diesen Skill beauftragen" ("Commission this Skill") and land in the commission order form. The chosen professional (Fachkraft) is shown at the top — so you're commissioning that specific one. What you enter now is exactly what they read before they say yes.
Core idea
Your order (Auftrag) is what the professional reads before they commit. The clearer you describe the outcome, the sooner the right professional takes it on — and can price it fairly instead of declining to be safe.
What makes a good order
Two fields are the substance, three set the frame:
- Title (Titel) — name the concrete task (WHAT you need), not "I need help".
- Description (Beschreibung) — the detailed requirements: WHAT exactly and at what scope, so the professional can judge fit and price.
- Location (Ort, optional) — where the work should happen.
- Timeframe (Zeitrahmen, optional) — by when you need it.
- Budget (optional) — your price range in euros, as a min and max.
What the optional fields buy you
Location, timeframe, and budget are optional — but each helps the professional decide faster and more confidently. A budget as a range (min/max) is a frame, not a fixed price: it shows you're being realistic without pinning yourself down.
What happens after you submit
You submit the order. The chosen professional reviews it and decides whether to accept. After that you'll find the order in your orders list (Auftragsliste) — where you later track its status (Lesson 4). You're billed only once the order is assigned and invoiced (Lesson 3).
Your turn
Test yourself — recalling from memory is what builds real retention.
Knowledge check
Which order is most likely to get the right professional?
The first gives the professional everything to decide and price fairly: a clear task plus location, timeframe, and budget. "Need help" with no details can't be judged — the professional can't tell whether they fit. And a tight budget alone, without saying what to do, puts people off rather than creating clarity.
