How to pay for your order securely through the platform

Your order has been accepted — now it's about paying. On LinkYourSkill you hand no cash to a stranger: you pay securely through the platform, against an invoice, and only once the order is assigned. In this lesson you learn when and how you pay — and why it's safe.

What you'll be able to do

When you pay

You don't pay upfront, and not before someone has taken on your order. Only once your order (Auftrag) is assigned and an invoice (Rechnung) is issued does the payment section appear on the order. The invoice is the trigger — no paying into the void.

Core idea

You hand no cash to a stranger and share no bank details. You pay through the platform — against an invoice, by card (Stripe) or PayPal. The payment runs via established providers, not hand to hand.

How you pay

  1. Open the assigned order. Once an invoice is issued, the payment section appears there.
  2. Choose your payment method (Zahlungsart): „Mit Karte zahlen (Stripe)" ("Pay with Card") or „Mit PayPal zahlen" ("Pay with PayPal").
  3. You're taken to the provider's secure page and complete the payment there.
  4. Then you're returned — with success or cancellation. On success, the invoice status turns to „bezahlt" ("paid").

What "secure" means here

Secure means: the payment runs through the platform and established providers (Stripe, PayPal), and the professional never gets your bank details. You pay against a real invoice for an assigned order — not to an unknown address.

Your turn

Test yourself — recalling from memory is what builds real retention.
